DenseChip ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in, we collect your name, email address, and profile information from your Google account.

Usage Data

We track your learning progress, questions attempted, bookmarks, and platform interactions to provide personalized experiences.

Technical Data

When the homepage is visited we record the time, the page and your browser type in our own database, to count visits. Your IP address is not stored: we keep only a one-way hash of it (it cannot be turned back into the address), just enough to count unique visitors. Visit records are deleted after 90 days. We use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share aggregated, anonymized data for research and platform improvement purposes.

5. Data Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Cookies and analytics

We set only the cookies the site needs to work: the sign-in session cookie and its companion security cookies (set by our sign-in system), and, for the team, an occasional maintenance-access cookie. They are not used for tracking.

In your browser's local storage we keep preferences such as light or dark theme, which lessons are expanded, and recent searches. These never leave your device.

Analytics: we count homepage visits in our own database, without storing IP addresses (see Technical Data above). There is no Google Analytics, advertising network or other third-party tracker, so there is nothing to opt out of. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, but you will be signed out.

7. Your Rights

Opt out of non-essential communications
Download a copy of your data (Settings → Your data and privacy)

8. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account from Settings, your account and the data linked to it are removed straight away.

9. Children's Privacy

DenseChip is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
