Reading Paths

Five routes through the course: new DV engineer, RTL designer who verifies, DV lead, architect or manager, and a two-week interview sprint.

The parts are in learning order, and reading them in order is the best route if you have the time. If you do not, pick the path that fits your work.

Path

For

Route

New DV engineer

Your first verification role

Parts 0 to 6, then 13, then each part's drills

RTL designer who verifies

Designers testing their own blocks

Parts 0 to 3, 5, 6, 7 and 13

DV lead

You own a block or subsystem's verification

Parts 2, 6, 7, 9, 12 and 14, then the capstones

Architect or manager

You decide budgets, schedules and sign-off

Parts 0, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 16

Interview sprint (two weeks)

Senior DV interviews soon

Each part's drills, capstone 17.3, then Part 18

Whatever the path, read Meet DCRouter first: most parts use it.
